An annual weekend workshop for women, presented by Washington Outdoor Women (WOW) and led by experts, is set for Sept. 18-20. WOW, now in its 18th year, is dedicated to teaching women outdoor skills and natural resources stewardship.
Participants will choose from 16 different courses. Not all courses are offered every year, but in the past, in addition to fishing- and hunting-related courses, there have been sessions in archery, backpacking, birding, first aid for dogs, map and compass, kayaking, tracking, survival skills, and outdoor photography.
Workshop participants must be at least 18 years old and must have a current Washington recreational fishing license to participate in the fly-fishing sessions.
