It’s Friday and time to start thinking about the weekend. We think you should go have some fun, and here are some suggestions to get you started.

Seafair weekend officially kicks off Friday. The attractions include hydroplanes zooming at 200 mph and the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels streaking across the sky. Take a look at our list of must-see events here.

• Vegissimo! — South Whidbey Island’s third annual vegetable garden and small farm tour — is a unique garden tour that focuses on food gardening. The tour is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and a dinner follows at Fox Hollow Farm in Langley. Find all the details in our story here.

• The Stanwood-Camano Community Fair begins Friday and runs through Sunday at the fairgrounds in Stanwood. You’ll find youth agriculture exhibits and competitions, live entertainment and a carnival. And, of course, plenty of fabulous greasy or sugary fair food. Find the details here.

• StrutzFest, an annual classic rock celebration at Darrington Music Park, begins at 3 p.m. today and runs through early Sunday morning. The event is a big party where great rock ‘n’ roll acts come to life through a lineup of tribute bands. The cover songs this year are likely to include favorites from Pink Floyd, the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rush and Neil Diamond. You can find our story here.

• “Romeo and Juliet” will be performed outdoors in Clinton on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free for the play in a beautiful wooded setting. You can read more about it and see what other plays are running this weekend in our story here.

• The Index Arts Festival is Saturday and admission is free. Artists will display an eclectic mix of paintings, photographs, ceramics and crafts against a backdrop of mountains, river and trees. Find more details in our story here.
