Long: On the eve of WWII, a proper English lady (Nicole Kidman) journeys to the Outback and her husband’s ranch, striking sparks with the rough-hewn cowboy (Hugh Jackman) who runs the cattle. Baz Luhmann’s throwback of a movie is just as cornball as that description sounds, and although it provides some early campy fun, the 165-minute running time eventually takes its toll.
