In today’s increasingly faster-paced world comes an item that promises to be even faster than popping an antacid tablet, speedier than Speedy Alka Seltzer.
It’s the Tums Quik Pak. The Quik Pak is a serious departure from the already multiple kinds of tableted Tums.
Tums Quik Pak is a box of 24 long packets of powder, much like the things one is encouraged these days to dump into bottles of water.
But, stop, don’t do it. We realize this is a “Quik Pak,” but it’s very important to take time to read the package directions:
“Tear open one packet. Do not tilt head. Pour powder onto tongue (not toward back of throat). Close mouth. Allow powder to dissolve.”
We must point out, of course, that the packets are next to impossible to tear open. But even if they weren’t, we can’t imagine how this is easier, faster or in any way better than simply chewing a tablet.
And they cost more. Lots more. Each serving costs three times as much as Tums in tablet form.
Got a belly ache yet?
