1. Turkey meatballs.
Don’t know what to do with all that leftover Thanksgiving turkey? Make meatballs.
Celebrity chef Zipora Einav’s Thanksgiving meatballs recipe features leftover turkey, dried cranberries and panko bread crumbs.
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet and spray with olive oil. Mix in a medium-size bowl, 1 pound finely chopped turkey, 1 cup dried cranberries, ½ cup panko bread crumbs, 1-2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 eggs, 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper and ½ teaspoon each of garlic powder, onion powder, salt and black pepper.
Use a ice cream scooper to make a dozen 1-inch balls, then place them on the baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes until lightly browned. Serve meatballs as a side dish or appetizer.
Author of “Recipe for a Delicious Life,” Einav has cooked for the likes of Mariah Carey, Pierce Brosnan and Scarlett Johansson.

2. A family gift.
Clara and the late Bob Heirman’s passion for preserving land and wildlife continues. Their Snohomish property is now parkland.
The Heirman Family Nature Park, at 1402 66th St., Snohomish, is the county’s newest park. The 3.6 acres near Blackmans Lake features forest, a pond, a stream, wetlands, a nature trail and an open meadow. A $400,000 Snohomish County Conservation Futures grant funded the purchase.
The park will be dedicated in Bob Heirman’s memory. The beloved outdoors advocate died last year.
A ribbon cutting celebration is scheduled for 1 p.m. Dec. 1.

3. Fast food vs. fitness.
Is it possible to be crazy about fitness and fast food?
It is for Washingtonians, apparently.
A national study shows that the Evergreen State ranks fifth in Google searches relating to healthy choices and 20th for searches about fast food. Florida is No. 1 for fast food; California tops fitness searches.
Dominos takes the crown for most Googled fast-food chain in the United States, while Planet Fitness is America’s go-to for staying fit.
