Dragon tail: Meet author and illustrator Yvonne Palka from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Edmonds Bookshop. Palka’s ink-brush paintings in a young reader’s book, “Dragon Fire, Ocean Mist,” tell the story of a brother and sister who befriend a family of dragons.
Stop in at the bookstore during Edmonds Third Thursday Art Walk for snacks and beverages and watch as Palka demonstrates her sumi painting technique.
“Dragon Fire” lists at $12.95 and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book will go toward preserving wild places in the Pacific Northwest.
