Author Hester Rumberg to speak: Hester Rumberg tells a heart-rending story in her book, “Ten Degrees of Reckoning: The True Story of a Family’s Love and the Will to Survive.”
The author, a close friend of the Sleavin family of Tacoma who set sail for a round-the-world trip in 1993, recounts the tragic story of Judith Sleavin, the only survivor after a freighter struck the family’s 47-foot sailboat. The book lists for $24.95.
