Earth Day Celebration: Award-winning filmmakers Sharon Howard and Mike Rosen present their documentary “Wolf: An Ancient Spirit Returns” at 6 p.m. Aug. 4 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds. Admission is $50 and includes a reception with wine and hors d’oeuvres, the screening of the EMMY-winning film, a Q&A with the filmmakers and a special DVD. Film Noir at the Library: Attend monthly screenings of film noir at the Evergreen Branch, Everett Public Library, 9512 Evergreen Way, Everett. On Aug. 26, see the 1951 movie “Tomorrow is Another Day.” An ex-convict who thinks he killed a man goes into hiding with a woman whose boyfriend is the supposed murder victim. All showings are free and begin at 1 p.m. A discussion follows. Call 425-257-8270.

Film Noir at the Library: Attend monthly screenings of film noir at the Evergreen Branch, Everett Public Library, 9512 Evergreen Way, Everett. On Sept. 30, see the 1956 movie “Crime in the Streets.” The film, about juvenile delinquency, is based on a television play written by Reginald Rose. It follows a rumble between New York City street gangs, the Hornets and Dukes. All showings are free and begin at 1 p.m. A discussion follows. Call 425-257-8270.

Music on Film: The 2013 documentary “Muscle Shoals” is about a recording studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, that worked with some of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll and soul legends of all time. Even before the Civil Rights Movement, the color of your skin didn’t matter inside that studio. See the film at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds.
