50 YEARS AGO (1960)

Retiring from the U.S. Navy as of Jan. 1 was Roy Dilgard, chief warrant officer, of Route 5, Everett. A decorated World War II veteran, he was serving on the USS Zelma at the time of his retirement. The Wilson PTA was having a dance tomorrow at Intercity Hall open to all. Jim Tomlin, PTA president, was in charge. Stereophonic music would feature waltzes, fox trots, varsities, schottishes, polkas, rounds, squares, tangos, sambas and rhumbas. Sports clothes or suits for men and dresses or suits for women would be the attire.
