After seeing The Submarines open for Guster Monday night at the Neptune I had to go with their song “Shoelaces” for the song of the week. They sounded great live and I was very impressed with their performance.
I got to the show a little late but when I walked in I heard Blake Hazzard say “this song is called ‘Shoelaces’” and tried to wiggle my way to the front of the standing section in the crowd to enjoy my favorite Submarines song.
After their set local photographer and friend of the blog Miles McKee was able to catch up with the band and grab the above photo of Blake and John in the ladies bathroom. Don’t ask me how he managed that.
