If you’re not yet on board with the 4 million-plus people who are watching USA’s “The 4400,” this week is the time to see the light.
The science-fiction drama recently kicked off its third season and has grown into a summertime stronghold for the cable network, pushing it to the top spot among nonbroadcast channels.
The show focuses on exactly 4,400 people who disappeared from 1946 to the present day and were suddenly dropped back on to Earth near Seattle a couple of years ago. None of them aged and they each now possess different types of powers, such as telekinesis and precognition, and have caused something of a commotion with their arrival.
This week comes the first of a two-part episode in which a mysterious woman visits Maia, the youngest of the bunch, setting off a series of events that explains and further complicates the mystery of the 4400.
