Wednesday’s highlights on TV include:
“Fargo”: The snow-capped crime anthology makes a welcome return. For Season 3, the story is set in 2010 and centers on two brothers — both wonderfully played by Ewan McGregor. One is a handsome real estate mogul. The other is a balding, pot-bellied parole officer. Their sibling rivalry will send them down a very dangerous path. The cast also includes Carrie Coon, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and David Thewlis.10 p.m. Wednesday, FX.
A powerful new installment of “Nova” joins an archeological excavation in the Lithuanian city of Vilnius, once known as “Jerusalem of the North.” Unearthed is a 100-foot escape tunnel used by Holocaust survivors during WWII. 9 p.m., PBS.
