Washington Cider Week
There are a number of local events involving cider as Washington Cider Week runs through Sunday. Total Wine Takeover with Tieton Cider Works is Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at Total Wine in Lynnwood. The Washington Cider Week Finale will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Beveridge Place Pub in Seattle. For more information, visit www.nwcider.com.
Bellingham Beer Week
The third annual Bellingham Beer Week takes place in Bellingham from Sept. 12 through 21. All five Bellingham craft breweries — Chuckanut, Boundary Bay, Kulshan, Aslan, and Wander — plus many regional breweries, numerous beer bars, beer stores, restaurants, and other businesses will be hosting beer-related events throughout the city. Oktoberfest Monroe
The second annual Oktoberfest Monroe is Sept. 19-21 at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe. Celebrates all things German with a Munich-inspired Festhalle Biergarten, authentic entertainment, traditional German foods and fun games for all New this year, an all-ages 5K. Activities for families include a Root Beer Garden, an all-new scavenger hunt for kids, free face painting and pumpkin decorating and a variety of live entertainment. Open to all ages until 7 p.m. each night, after which it becomes a 21-and-over event.
