‘Integrity and true leadership:’ Auditor candidate emphasizes election transparency and accessibility

Snohomish County Auditor candidate understands the value and strength of community

Cindy Gobel appreciates the deep-rooted value of unity, accountability, and community power. Her dedication to public service stems from this understanding, and she’s passionate about enhancing the Snohomish County Auditor role to its highest standards.

“Throughout my journey, I’ve recognized the importance of unity, trust, and transparency. Our communities flourish when we come together and have faith in our institutions,” Gobel states.

In the face of current global challenges, Gobel asserts, “Now, more than ever, we must rebuild trust in our communities, ensuring every voice is heard and respected.” She projects this vision as she vies for the Snohomish County Auditor position in the upcoming Nov. 7 election.

Cindy Gobel: Balancing Community Engagement with Hands-on Experience

Cindy’s foundation is solidified by her in-depth community engagement coupled with vast practical experience. Her dedication to the community saw her serve in law enforcement for 11 years, focusing on records, licensing, and animal control. This laid a robust foundation for her subsequent involvement in federal election law and compliance. During this phase, she spent 5 years working with Secretary of State Kim Wyman at the state level, ensuring rigorous adherence to election laws across all 39 counties of Washington. She continued her dedication with 12 years of service with Snohomish County Elections.

During this time, Cindy showcased her incredible resilience and determination. While working full-time and raising her daughters as a single mother after the unfortunate loss of her husband, she pursued and earned her law degree from Seattle University.

Looking to the future, Gobel shares, “I aim to elevate trust across all divisions: Licensing, Recording, Animal Services, and Elections. Each voice in this county should feel validated and integral to the democratic process.”

Promoting Transparency and Inclusivity

Distinct in her approach, Gobel is committed to open dialogue. “In an era where many may feel on the sidelines, I strive to bridge that gap, fostering a climate of inclusivity and clear communication,” she emphasizes.

Deeply connected to the community, Gobel warmly invites everyone to engage in discussions about the future, sharing their insights, concerns, and aspirations.

Ensuring Fair and Accessible Elections

Transparency and inclusivity in the election process remain paramount to Gobel’s mission.

“Having contributed extensively to Washington’s electoral systems, I stress the essence of safeguarding every individual’s voting rights,” she explains.

Accessibility remains her focal point. “Every voter should find the process easy and accessible. Our democracy truly shines when each voice finds representation,” Gobel underscores.

“When evaluating a candidate, consider their commitment to the community, transparency, and endeavors to make voting accessible for all. True leadership is grounded in dedicated service and unwavering integrity. I promise to deliver both!”
