EVERETT — Police arrested an Everett man accused of killing his neighbor by firing through the walls of his apartment early Thursday.
Around 1 a.m., officers responded to gunfire at the Erwin Estates Apartment Complex in the 8200 block of 11th Drive W, according to Everett police.
There, they found a man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett where he later died.
Police reportedly found bullet holes in a wall the victim shared with his neighbor. The neighbor, a man in his 40s, was taken into custody around 6:45 a.m. He was later booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of second-degree murder. Detectives were investigating at the scene, just north of West Casino Road.
Police noted they found a black long gun and a pistol in the suspected shooter’s apartment.
Investigators had not released any information about a motive. The suspect was set to appear before a judge for a bail hearing Friday.
