2 hikers missing near Lake Kachess

ELLENSBURG — Kittitas County sheriff’s searchers are looking for two hikers missing near Lake Kachess on the east side of Snoqualmie Pass.

The sheriff’s office says friends reported they became separated Wednesday from the two Seattle women on the Rachel Lake trail.

The women, 65-year-old Ruby Okada and 62-year-old Louise Bartels, were prepared only for a day hike.
