EVERETT — Two people are dead, one is wounded and a man was arrested late Friday night after a shooting in a house well known to Everett police.
The shooting took place just after 7 p.m. at a house in the 2400 block of 75th Street SE.
The same house has been the scene of two previous homicides since 2008. In December, it was raided by the local auto theft task force.
As of 9 p.m. Friday, detectives were waiting to obtain a judge’s permission to search the house where the shooting took place, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said.
Additional information about the victims was pending that search, he said.
Neighbors said they heard gunshots and saw two ambulances leave the scene.
The man was arrested in Forest Park after a manhunt involving a SWAT team and search helicopters.
The 75th Street house is a known problem property.
A man was shot there on July 28, 2008. Cory Hamilton, 38, died in the driveway.
Prosecutors initially charged James Prizmich with second-degree murder. He pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter, illegal possession of a firearm and attempting to elude police.
A judge sentenced him to 13 years in prison.
In May 2011, another man was fatally wounded at the same home after a confrontation.
Police said a man shot an attacker who hit him in the head with a flashlight during a robbery.
In December, a team of detectives found stripped parts from at least 10 vehicles in the back yard, according to the Snohomish County Auto Theft Task Force.
The age, city of residence and gender of the victims in Friday’s shooting not being released at this time. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will take custody of the two deceased to notify their families and establish cause and manner of death.
