25 Snohomish County cooling centers provide a safe place to cool off

Places to cool down during summer heat include libraries, community centers, senior centers and spray parks.

Looking for a place to cool down in Snohomish County?

This week has been one of the hottest of the year. On Wednesday, temperatures peaked in the low 80s, with a few more degrees tacked on Thursday.

And with hazy air Wednesday bringing the air quality to unhealthy levels in parts of the county, taking spells inside with air conditioning might be ideal.

Meteorologists expect temperatures in Everett to drop a bit starting Friday, with highs in the mid-70s expected next week. It is forecast to be hotter in eastern parts of the county, according to the National Weather Service in Seattle.

Keep this list and map of public cooling centers across Snohomish County close at hand this summer.
