MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Police in Mountlake Terrace have received three reports of possible child lurings in recent weeks.
The most recent case reportedly occurred around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at 56th Avenue W and 224th Street SW.
In that instance, someone reported that a man, who was believed to have a Russian accent, attempted to contact a student and asked to be shown how to get to nearby schools.
The suspect’s car was described as a green van with flames.
In October, there were two reported incidents of child luring in Mountlake Terrace, police said. In both cases, the drivers of the vehicles attempted to contact students walking home alone and offered rides.
The suspects, a woman and a man, were alone and both were reported as having accents, possibly Russian. The vehicle descriptions were a silver minivan and black Audi.
Police urge anyone who encounters or observes similar suspicious activity to call 911 immediately.
