Seattle Tilth is offering an excellent class “Putting the Garden to Bed” Saturday in Seattle.
I know, I know – I just suggested in my last post that maybe you could drop/put off some of the fall garden-to-bed chores. But this class is focused on soil-building, an essential practice for good gardening.
The class description promises: “Learn inexpensive or free ways to build your soil using materials on hand.” Hmmm, I just saw a few of my favorite words: “inexpensive” and “materials on hand.”
