LYNNWOOD — A couple of boys, ages 15 and 17, have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Lynnwood on Friday that left another teen injured.
The two suspects arranged to meet a 16-year-old boy near the Lynnwood Transit Center along 48th Avenue West. He was planning to sell them marijuana, said Lynnwood police Cmdr. Sean Doty.
The meeting took a turn. The 15-year-old allegedly shot the teen once in the hip, Doty said.
Acquaintances took the 16-year-old to Swedish hospital in Edmonds where he later was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He was still recovering there Monday afternoon.
The 17-year-old suspect was booked into the Denney Juvenile Justice Center on Friday for investigation of first-degree assault and robbery. The 15-year-old was taken into custody early Monday.
