Navy Airman Samantha Penix will be stationed in San Diego on the U.S.S. Boxer, an amphibious assault ship. Penix, who joined the Navy in June, is the daughter of Ron and Julie Penix of Arlington.
Army Pvt. Gordon J. Gidlof has graduated from basic training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C. Gidlof is the son of Allyson Pirce of Mukilteo and John Gidlof of Delta Junction, Alaska. He is a 2002 graduate of the high school program at Edmonds Community College.
Air Force Airman Ardra V. Braswell has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. Braswell is the daughter of Gwynn Braswell of Durham, N.C., and Hilbert Braswell of Arlington. She is a 2004 graduate of Riverside High School in Durham, N.C.
Air Force Airman 1st Class Jessica R. Reynolds has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. Reynolds is the daughter of Jay and Lourdes Reynolds of Oak Harbor. She is a 2001 graduate of Coupeville High School and received an associate degree from Skagit Valley College in 2004.
Air Force Airman Joshua T. Gulke has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. Gulke is the son of Elaine Olson of Marysville and Larry Gulke of Mount Vernon. He is a 2003 graduate of Marysville-Pilchuck High School.
Air Force Airman Kyle D. Edwards has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. Edwards is the son of Douglas and Tammy Edwards of Stanwood. He is a 2003 graduate of Stanwood High School.
Air Force Airman John Erik B. Rice has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. Rice is the son of Cindy and Rick Rice of Mill Creek. He is a 2002 graduate of Kamiak High School.
