COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Bail has been set at $1 million for an Arizona man following an exchange of gunfire with a dozen law enforcement officers in northern Idaho.
The Spokesman-Review reported that authorities served 24-year-old Marcus Anthony Rael of Glendale with an arrest warrant at Kootenai Health on Wednesday.
Rael is charged with one count of eluding police.
Authorities say additional charges are possible.
Authorities say Rael on Sunday fled in a pickup before stopping on Interstate 90 and shooting at police.
Kootenai County officials say six Coeur d’Alene police officers, three Post Falls police officers, two Kootenai County sheriff’s deputies and an Idaho State Police trooper exchanged gunfire with Rael.
No officers were injured.
The sheriff’s office on Friday said Rael is in stable condition. Police declined to list his injuries.
