ARLINGTON — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 78-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease.
Willard Schoellhorn was last seen about 3 p.m. Friday — his birthday — leaving his home in the 200 block of E. Burke Avenue. His wife reported him missing on Saturday.
Police and family members were unable to find Schoellhorn, and members of Snohomish County Search and Rescue were called in Monday to help.
Schoellhorn, a retired bus driver, was known to ride buses throughout the area. He also had accepted rides from strangers in the past, according to the Arlington Police Department.
He is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, 190 pounds, with green eyes and gray hair. He has a recent injury on his right elbow that required seven stitches. Schoellhorn was last seen wearing a light brown coat and blue jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
