Group flood insurance policies purchased with disaster assistance funds for victims of the fall 2006 floods must be renewed by Feb. 10 to allow people to qualify for more federal disaster aid, state emergency management officials said.

Suggest improvements to Evergreen Way
The city wants to know what you think about improving the Evergreen Way corridor.
A public meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Jan. 28 at Evergreen Middle School, 7621 Beverly Lane. Potential changes include streetscape, traffic planning, housing development and economic redevelopment.
National Heritage Area talk planned
Local activist Valerie Steel plans to give a talk on the National Maritime Heritage Area Feasibility Study at 7 p.m. Tuesday at View Ridge Elementary School, 202 Alder St.
The study explores whether part of the Washington coast should be designated as a National Heritage Area. That designation might mean more dollars for the area.
Steel’s talk is part of the Harborview-Seahurst-Glenhaven Neighborhood meeting.
Edmonds: Meeting on hospital partnership
The proposed partnership between Stevens Hospital and Swedish Medical Center will be discussed at a public meeting at 6:30 tonight.
It will take place at the Stevens Hospital’s fourth floor auditorium.
The hospital is at 21601 76th Ave. W. in Edmonds.
