Take a can of food to tonight’s ball game
Headed to the AquaSox ballpark tonight? United Way of Snohomish County and Volunteers of America Western Washington are asking those attending the game to bring along a can of food or more to donate.
The game is set to begin at 7:05 p.m. at Everett Memorial Stadium, 3802 Broadway.
Higher prices for food and gas are increasing demand for the services of Snohomish County’s food banks, United Way officials said.
Donations of such items as canned meats and vegetables, soups and peanut butter are appreciated by food bank organizers. The food bank donation barrel is located at the south (main) entrance to the ballpark.
