Port of Everett expands walking trail

The Port of Everett is done expanding a walking trail on its North Marina property at the southside of the 12th Street Yacht Basin.

The Port is calling the trail “Walking the Wharf” or simply “the W” because the trail is shaped something like that letter, said Lisa Mandt, spokeswoman for the Port.

“Many people don’t know the trail system continues from the south marina all throughout the marina into the 10th Street Park,” she said.

The expansion cost $18,000 and more trails are planned in the future if and when redevelopment happens at the Port.
