Everett: Learn about Silver Lake history
Everett’s treasure of a historian David Dilgard is the featured speaker at a neighborhood meeting set for 7 p.m. Thursday at the Silver Lake Activity Center, 11525 19th Ave. SE.
Dilgard plans to talk about the history of the Silver Lake area.
Anyone is welcome and guests are encouraged to bring photos and memories to share.

Everett High School stages musical
The Everett High School Drama Club plans to present “Frankenstein: A New Musical” with music by Mark Baron, lyrics by Jeffrey Jackson and story adaptation by Gary B. Cohen.
Performances are set for 7 p.m., Jan. 13, 14 and 15 and 2 p.m., Jan. 16 at Everett Civic Auditorium, 2105 Colby Ave.
Tickets are $15 each or $10 for senior citizens and students with ASB cards.
Schack Art Award nominations due
Nominations for the Schack Art Awards are due Tuesday at 5 p.m.
In 1992 the Snohomish County Arts Council began the tradition of honoring an Artist of the Year and Volunteer of the Year.
In 2011 the Art Advocate Award was added.

Mountlake Terrace: Meet city officials
The public is invited to join city officials for a cup of coffee and hear first hand what’s happening in the city.
The event is scheduled from 8 to 9 a.m. Jan. 12 at the city’s recreation pavilion Jungle Room, 5303 228th Street SW.
Participants are encouraged to ask questions and make suggestions on city services.
