LONGVIEW — Among the write-in names on election ballots in Cowlitz County this year were Big Bird and Dilbert’s Pointy Haired boss.
Someone also thought “Sesame Street’s” Bert and Ernie should run the state Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.
Elections Supervisor Carolyn Myers told The Daily News that joke write-ins are nothing new.
Others getting votes for various offices were Donald Trump, Smokey Bear, Clint Eastwood, Cinderella, Mickey Mouse, Snooki and Honey Boo Boo.
