SEATTLE — Seattle police say the case of a man found dead of fatal injuries in a shopping cart in south Seattle is being investigated by homicide detectives.
Witnesses told police they confronted a man who had been pushing the cart down a street after they saw him rummaging through garbage cans. After the man walked away Thursday morning, the witnesses saw the body, under a pile of clothes with just the feet sticking out.
Officer Patrick Michaud says police are looking for the man seen pushing the cart.
The King County medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
