SPOKANE — The Spokane County medical examiner’s office should be able to confirm whether a body found Wednesday at Chattaroy is 17-year-old Donavin Stapert who may have died March 7 at a home in the town of Malden in Whitman County.
Investigators searching for Stapert dug down 4 or 5 feet to find the body on state-owned land.
The Spokesman-Review reported that three adults are jailed in connection with the case. They are accused of providing Stapert with methamphetamine, covering up his death and hiding his body.
