BOTHELL — Snohomish County sheriff’s officials have issued a public warning about a convicted sex offender who lives in the 20300 block of the Bothell-Everett Highway SE.
Shon K. Baker, 26, pleaded guilty in March 1994 to two counts of first-degree child molestation involving two children, 4- and 5-years old, whom he knew. He was sentenced to 6 1/2 years in prison, sheriff’s spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen said Monday.
Sheriff’s officials will conduct a community meeting to discuss registered sex offender issues from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Fernwood Elementary School, 3933 Jewell Road in Bothell.
While he was in prison, Baker completed drug and alcohol treatment, a victim-awareness program and an anger-management program. Afterward, he asked to enter the sex-offender treatment program, but was rejected because he did not have enough time left on his sentence to complete the program, she said.
In September 1999, Baker was released in Pierce County. During his two years of supervision there, he reported as required and had no known violations of the conditions of his release, she said. He has remained employed since his release from prison, Jorgensen said.
