LYNNWOOD — Deputies arrested a man accused of stabbing a 15-year-old boy off Highway 99 north of Lynnwood on Tuesday afternoon.
While riding a bus around 1:15 p.m., the suspect, 32, got into a fight with the bus driver near 148th Street SW and Highway 99, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe wrote in an email. Two teens intervened.
The man and the teens got off the bus to settle their confrontation in a nearby parking lot. The suspect allegedly stabbed the teenager, O’Keefe said. He fled the scene.
Deputies found the boy with a single stab wound in the parking lot. He was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
Not long after, deputies found the suspect, O’Keefe said. Police planned to book him into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree assault, third-degree assault and fourth-degree assault.
