MARYSVILLE — One person was taken to the hospital after a train struck a car Friday morning in Marysville.
A woman in her 60s was the only person in the Chevrolet around 9:20 a.m., near 136th Street NE and Smokey Point Boulevard, said Christie Veley, spokeswoman for the Marysville Fire District.
The impact mangled the vehicle’s front end and pushed the car into tall grass. The woman was alert when she was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, Veley said.
Part of 136th Street was closed through the morning. An investigation is under way.
