SEATTLE — Seattle Central Community College has told Occupy Seattle participants they are not welcome on campus.
Occupy Seattle protesters voted Monday to move their occupation to the college’s campus.
The college’s administration released an open letter on Wednesday, in which it says that camping is not allowed on campus and may “choose to impose its own sanctions, including criminal or civil prosecution.”
Occupy Seattle is planning to march from Westlake Park, where it’s currently based, to the college on Saturday. They plan speeches and a Halloween party.
The administration says it’s worried classes will be interfered. It also says the area Occupy Seattle wants is one used by a farmer’s market.
