PASCO — A Connell man is pleading innocent in the killings of his former girlfriend and her 3-year-old son, who were shot and then lit on fire.
Prudencio J. Fragos-Ramirez, 25, appeared Monday in Franklin County Superior Court, where he’s charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
The Tri-City Herald reported his bail was set at $1 million.
Maria G. Cruz-Cavillo, 18, and her son, Luis F. Lopez-Cruz, were found July 2 badly burned inside a car down a ravine in a remote part of Franklin County.
A trial date was set for Sept. 9.
No motive has been offered for the killings.
