EVERETT — Learn how to recycle, re-use and reduce at the city’s first-ever Conservation Carnival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Carl Gipson Senior Center, 3025 Lombard Ave.
Children and adults are welcome to attend and learn more about how to be good stewards of the environment by visiting interactive information booths and checking out energy-efficient products. The event is free.
The day also includes speakers and a $6 lunch:
All day: interactive information booths
10:15 a.m.: Saving our Earth for the Future, presented by Everett Community College.
11 a.m.: Surviving a Power Outage, Everett Emergency Preparedness.
11:45 a.m.: How does the Northwest get its Power Today and Tomorrow?, Snohomish County PUD.
Noon to 1 p.m.: no-host lunch ($6 per person).
Noon to 12:45: Meet Webbly, AquaSox mascot.
12:45 p.m.: Yes you can have Solar in the Northwest, Northwest Wind &Solar.
1:30 p.m.: How does your Garden Grow?, Cedar Grove Composting
2:15 p.m.: Low-cost, no-cost Energy Saving Tips, Snohomish County PUD (receive light bulb coupons).
3:15 p.m.: Meet Colby, Everett Police crime prevention dog mascot.
