ABERDEEN — A Washington appeals court ruled against the Grays Harbor PUD Tuesday in its dispute with a contractor over the cost of emergency repairs for a December 2007 storm.
The court upheld a jury verdict of more than $4 million to the Spradlin Rock Products company of Hoquiam.
The appeals court said the superior court judge was correct in favoring Spradlin and finding the PUD’s contentions without merit.
The PUD accused the contractor of overcharging. Spradlin said the contracting terms were clear.
The utility said it’s deciding whether to appeal to the state Supreme Court.
