Some of the biggest secrets in Snohomish County Superior Court may soon lose much of their mystery.
Court staff have started to review roughly 1,200 sealed files, many of them domestic violence cases, to determine if all or part of the records should be opened to the public.
Also under review are the procedures that police and prosecutors are using dozens of times each year to shield some of their most sensitive activities.
Among the actions under review are secret search warrants, wiretaps and closed-door inquiry hearings where people can be compelled to present evidence or risk jail time.
