LYNNWOOD — A crash blocked all lanes of northbound Highway 525 at Highway 99 on Tuesday morning.
Around 7:45 a.m., an Everett man was driving south on the highway when he crossed over the center median, side-swiped a car, then crashed into another vehicle, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The Everett man was not seriously injured but taken to Swedish Edmonds as a precaution. One of the other drivers was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
The crash obstructed the lanes, according to the state Department of Transportation. Police and fire crews closed down northbound Highway 525 as they investigated and cleared the road.
About 30 minutes later, traffic was backed up about 1½ miles and growing, according to the department. Cars were detoured. Two hours later, the collision was cleared and all lanes were re-opened.
