EVERETT — Detectives want to talk with a felon about an accidental shooting Aug. 21 that left a woman wounded at a Silver Lake-area home.
Corey Robert Myers, 26, allegedly had a gun inside a backpack. The weapon discharged when he dropped the bag, said Shari Ireton, spokeswoman with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
A woman, 34, was shot in the stomach. She was hospitalized but is expected to survive.
Myers left before authorities arrived at the home in the 12100 block of Andrew Sater Road. The sheriff’s office on Friday urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the anonymous tip line at 425-388-3845.
Myers is a convicted felon and should be considered armed and dangerous, Ireton said. He stands 6 feet 7 inches and weighs about 200 pounds.
