Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office detectives now are circulating a photo of a Monroe man charged Thursday with voyeurism for allegedly making sex videos of women without their consent.
Detectives believe there are more potential victims out there and hope they will come forward if they recognize Robert Allen Anderson from his photograph.
Prosecutors on Thursday charged Anderson, 48, with three counts of voyeurism and one count of illegal gun possession. The charges stem from an investigation into videos involving at least three different women.
Anyone who believes they might have been a victim can contact the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 425-388-3845.
Anderson lives in a renovated barn on his parents’ property. Under a search warrant served there earlier this month, detectives seized hundreds of DVDs, CDs and videos, suggesting Anderson has been secretly taping his sexual encounters for many years, detectives said.
Many of the recordings had women’s names on them, but others did not, sheriff’s department spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said Friday .
Detectives have identified about seven potential victims, but think there are more out there, Hover said.
They said Anderson, who goes by “Rob,” frequented McCabes, a nightclub in Everett, the Tulalip Casino near Marysville as well as The Q Club – a nearby nightclub and casino . He also went to the Cascade in Lynnwood, and a place called The Little Red Hen – a Country Western bar in Seattle. He also is known to hang out in taverns and bars in Monroe and Sultan, Hover said.
Anderson allegedly established dating relationships with women then secretly taped them during sexual activity, Hover said.
This revelation has been traumatic for the women who have been identified so far, Hover said.
