GRANITE FALLS — More than six months have passed since Angela Gilbert went missing.
Her disappearance remains under investigation, though detectives won’t say much about what they’ve learned.
Gilbert, 42, of Granite Falls, was reported last seen June 2 on private timber land outside the city.
At the time, police were told that Gilbert went for a walk with a friend and never returned.
That friend, Colt Lee White, 23, of Granite Falls, also disappeared. He was found dead weeks later in the South Fork Stillaguamish River, his death attributed to probable fresh-water drowning.
His death also remains under investigation, Snohomish County sheriff’s bureau chief Kevin Prentiss said.
It’s not clear if investigators have confirmed the story that Gilbert and White went walking together before she went missing.
“I don’t know if we really ever clarified that,” Prentiss said.
There were some reports that White was seen after June 2, but those were unconfirmed. White was reported missing a few days later.
Putting together an accurate timeline of what happened is an important part of the case, Prentiss said.
Investigators still are asking people to come forward or to call the sheriff’s tip line at 425-388-3845.
“We would love to hear from anyone who has information on (the case),” Prentiss said.
Gilbert, who is a mother of six, has been entered into several missing-people databases, including the Washington State Patrol’s. She also has warrants for her arrest.
Her family has maintained a Facebook page, “Missing Angela Gilbert,” which now has nearly 1,450 followers. Her friends and family often share messages on the page detailing the hurt they feel not knowing where she is and how much they miss her. Many offer kind thoughts and prayers.
Gilbert is described as white, 5 feet 2 inches tall and 120 pounds. She has blond hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white down coat, blue jeans and black tennis shoes with pink laces.
