DARRINGTON — A dump truck rolled over in a crash that seriously injured the driver Monday near Darrington, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The truck rolled around 3:15 p.m. and blocked westbound lanes of Highway 530, a couple of miles north of the city, said trooper Heather Axtman. The driver was unconscious and trapped in the damaged cab. He was conscious and alert within a quarter of an hour. His injuries aren’t considered life-threatening.
An airlift helicopter landed near the scene to fly the man to a hospital. Troopers arrived to investigate.
