MARYSVILLE — Police are searching for a woman who reportedly drove the wrong way on I-5 near Marysville earlier today.
No one was injured in the incident, but an Everett man crashed into the cable barrier when he swerved to avoid the woman, Washington State Patrol trooper Kirk Rudeen said. The cable barrier worked, stopping his car.
Just before 11 a.m. the woman reportedly entered northbound I-5 at 88th Street NE. She made a U-turn and headed southbound into heavy traffic. Two vehicles swerved out of her way before the woman made another U-turn and exited at 88th Street NE, Rudeen said.
Police are searching for a brown Honda Civic or Accord. They believe the woman is in her 20s and has long, blonde hair. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
