EDMONDS — Police continue to investigate the April 27 death of an Edmonds man.
Detectives found evidence of illegal drugs when they searched the apartment where Drew Johnson, 51, was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the head, according to a search warrant filed Tuesday in Snohomish County Superior Court.
“It is believed that the homicide is narcotics related,” the search warrant said.
Police haven’t ruled out that the death may have been related to something other than drugs, Edmonds police Sgt. Don Anderson said.
Johnson was often seen walking his dogs, Apollo and Bruno, near his Edmonds apartment and one of the dogs at Green Lake Park in Seattle.
Anyone who may have seen Johnson the day he died or has information is asked to call the Edmonds Police Department tip line at 425-771-0212.
