Edmonds, Woodway and the nearby unincorporated areas of the Snohomish County, part of the 7th Congressional District, lead Snohomish County in ballots returned through Friday morning.
The area had an early return rate of 24.67 percent, compared to the countywide average of 20.16 percent.
At the other extreme, Lynnwood had the lowest return rate in the county at 18.81 percent.
The Snohomish County part of the 32nd Legislative District, including Lynnwood, Woodway, south Edmonds, part of Mountlake Terrace and unincorporated areas of southwest Snohomish County, has a return rate of 19.59 percent.
The 21st Legislative District, including most of Edmonds, unincorporated areas north of Edmonds and Lynnwood and northwest of Lynnwood, all of Mukilteo and part of south Everett, has a return rate of 19.94 percent. The Snohomish County part of the 1st Legislative District, including most of Mountlake Terrace, all of Brier, and Bothell and nearby areas, has a return rate of 19.59 percent.
The South Court District, including Brier, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mill Creek, Mountlake Terrace, Woodway and nearby unincorporated areas, has a return rate of 19.92 percent.
Elections officials expect a final statewide return rate of 61 percent to63 percent.
