A 22-year-old Everett man apparently did not return from a hiking trip that he told his parents would end Wednesday.
Mark Albrecht told his parents, who live out of state, that he planned to hike and camp in the north Cascades for three days early this week, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
The Sheriff’s Office is not conducting a search and rescue operation because it’s unclear where Albrecht intended to hike, Hover said. Sheriff’s deputies and forest service crews today checked the Mountain Loop Highway and several popular trail heads, but found no sign of the man or his vehicle.
Albrecht drives a 1991 red Ford Thunderbird with Indiana license plates, Hover said. He moved from Indiana to Everett a few weeks ago, she said.
Anyone who sees a car matching that description should call 911.
