An 18-year-old Everett man was charged Monday with seven counts of drive-by shooting for a series of random shots at homes in November and this month.
Byron August Ross was charged in Everett District Court. He’s expected to make an appearance today before a judge.
A 17-year-old last week was charged with one count of drive-by shooting in connection with the same incidents. Prosecutors said two people in the homes that were hit narrowly escaped serious injury.
A third person, a 39-year-old woman, was arrested in connection with the shootings but is out on bail. According to court documents, she had been with Ross during some of the incidents.
The charges filed Monday contain no details, but court documents pinpoint where shots were fired.
On Nov. 3, shots were fired at or near four homes — in the 15000 block of High Bridge Road in Monroe and the 16000 block of Connelly Road in Snohomish. Also, the 1900 block of Douglas Avenue in Everett and the 1900 block of 51st Avenue SE in Everett.
On Dec. 8, shots were fired at three homes in the 7400 block of E. Lowell-Larimer Road in Snohomish.
In the shooting on High Ridge Road, a resident said he couldn’t find any damage to his home, but a dead deer was found on his property.
Ross was being held on $500,000 bail.
The 17-year-old, also from Everett, was charged last week in the same court with drive-by shooting and being a juvenile in possession of a firearm. Bail was set at $100,000.
