SEATTLE — A former Tulalip Casino supervisor has pleaded guilty to a theft charge in losses totaling nearly $20,000.
According to court records, the money was taken by Walter A. Moses from Rewards Club accounts which he oversaw. Moses pleaded guilty on Tuesday before U.S. Magistrate Brian A. Tsuchida, who set sentencing for Jan. 8.
The reward program at the casino offers incentives such as cash, merchandise and other prizes based on the amount of wagers.
Investigators wrote that Moses withdrew $19,994 from the accounts of top customers in the name of relatives whom he used as unwitting accomplices. According to court filings, the relatives received vouchers, kept some of the money and gave the rest to Moses, who then erased the withdrawals from account records.
